Maggie is a self-taught cake artist with an eye for perfection and a passion for decorating. She founded Cakes by MAE in 2011 after she broke her foot and was no longer able to wait tables. She'd made a few cakes before and it sparked her interest but she didn't fully commit until her injury and free time. Once she went back to work, she continued to make cakes on the side whenever she needed extra monies. She is almost entirely self taught from trial and error, and encouragement from her grandmother, Mama Jo, who made cakes from home for over 30 yrs. She is happy to continue her legacy. All of Maggie's cakes are made with love, passion, and quality ingredients. Today, she continues to make show stopping cakes for all occasions. She is passionate about her craft and takes pride in all creations. After all, the best part of an event is the cake!
